About Us

Hi I’m Mike and together with my wife Kerry have been working professionally with dogs for more than 10 years now.

We started out as a dog walking business as Ultradogrunning and shortly afterwords started home dog boarding and doggie day care, being fully licensed and insured.

I then took up dog training and got my qualifications through CIDBT (Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training) Most of my work now deals more with dog behaviour. And being around dogs seven days a week gives me a great opportunity to study and learn about dog behaviour.

I have been around dogs all of my life and our current pack consists of Alfie our adopted Springer Spaniel from 7 months, who has been deaf from birth, Leo an adopted Cockerpoo from 3 years who I’m currently doing scent work with, and our latest addition to the family is Lady a puppy Springer Spaniel.

I have a holistic approach to dog training which is based around building a relationship based on mutual trust and respect and effective communication.

My approach is not just about training cues and obedience, but more about understanding your dog’s individual needs, preferences and personality.

Teaching your dog to be calm is a big part of my approach. Once your dog learns how to self-regulate, training cues and obedience becomes so much easier to where you find yourself not having to spend hours of repetition drills and relying on treats to get the behaviour you are looking for.

My approach to behavioural problems with dogs is to ask “Why” is your dog behaving this way and rather than treating the symptoms I treat the cause.

When we treat the cause of the problem and simply convince our dogs to follow our lead in every situation, training then becomes so much easier.

I offer one to one dog training and behaviour consultations, coming to your home. Working with you and your dog, with a program tailored around you and your dog’s needs.
